Jalaram mandir is residence place of Saint Jalaram Bapa and extremely famous for its sadavrat of Prasad Khichadi-Kadhi since 200 years continuously at Annkshetra – Bhojanalaya in temple campus where devotee can take prasad at lunch and dinner time.
This is only temple across the world which is not accepting any kind of donation since year 2000 and offer Prasad of khichdi and kadhi to all the devotees, needy people and tourist 2 times every day at free of cost. Almost 10000 people take this prasadi everyday, what a holy temple.
Jalaram Bapa popularly known as Bapa was a Hindu saint from Gujarat, India. He was born on 14 November 1799,
one week after the Hindu festival of Diwali, which is associated with his Lord Rama.Jalaram Bapa was born in Virpur, Rajkot district,
Gujarat, India in 1799, on the seventh day of the Kartika month.
His father was Pradhan Thakkar and his mother was Rajbai Thakkar who belonged to Lohana clan. He was a devotee of the Hindu god Rama. Virpur is the workplace of Shree Jalaram Bapa.The main shrine of Jalaram Bapa is located at Virpur. The shrine is actually the house complex where Jalaram lived during his lifetime. The shrine houses the belongings of Jalaram and the deities of Rama, Sita, Lakshamana and Hanuman worshipped by him. It also has on display the Jholi and Danda said to be given by God.

There are countless Parcha (experience) about the greatness of Saint Shree Jalaram Bapa. Shree Bapa had resurrected the birds which were kept in a bag by the Arabs. Arabs were amazed and accepted that there were in front of a great divine person. Shree Bapa had saved the life of the son of a Muslim and so even Muslim devotees called Shree Bapa “ Jalla so Allah kahevay!
At a time, God thought to test Shree Bapa and came in form of old Sadhu and asked to send Virbai to serve him. After consulting with VirbaiMa, Shree Bapa sent VirbaiMa with Sadhu. After walking some miles, Sadhu asked VirbaiMa to wait for him but Sadhu did not return. But, VirbaiMa heard Akashwani mentioning that it was just the test of you and Shree Bapa, please take Jholi and Dhoko to your home. This Jholi and Dhoko are installed at Virpur Temple with Ram Darbar as Prasadi from Supreme Lord.
Another believed is Ma Devi Ganga and the Yamuna themselves came to the home of Jalaram Bapa and fill the water every day. Even today itself Devotees of the Shree Bapa feel the Parch of Shree Bapa in various ways. Lots of Devotees observed fast and visit the temple on Thursday.
Jalaram Jayanti
Jalaram Bapa's birthday is celebrated on 7th day Shukla paksha of the Hindu month of Kartika as Jalaram Jayanti. It falls on seventh day from Diwali. On this day, devotees are served meal as prasad. There is a huge fair and festival at Virpur on the occasion and millions of devotees visit Virpur, on this day to pay their respect to the saint and have prasad of chiefly of khichdi with Bundi and popular farsan item Ganthiya The Jalaram Jayanti celebrations are also held at all Jalaram temples spread throughout India & abroad with festivities, where devotees participate to pay their respects and have prasad.
