Hathni Mata Temple and the beautiful marvelous waterfall in Sarsav Village near Pavagadh Jambughoda in Gujarat India. Pavagadh measures approximately 760 mt. above sea level and is home to the beautiful hilltop temple of mother goddess Kali. The Hathni Mata waterfalls are located in Jambughoda and about 80 km from Vadodara. Hathni means elephant lady in the local language and the place is so named because a cave from which a waterfall opens, which houses a rock-shaped appearance like a baby elephant.

Hathni Mata Waterfall is 34 km from Champaner and 78 km from Vadodara and is a beautiful waterfall near Shivrajpur in Gujarat. It is one of the picturesque waterfalls in Gujarat and one of the best places  near Vadodara. 
Flanked by lush green hills, the Hathni Mata Falls is an oasis of divine beauty. This is a 100-meter body of water that falls beautifully along a cliff. The cool waterfall flows better, especially during monsoons. In the cave next to the falls there is a small temple dedicated to Hathni Mata. The name Hathni is derived from the local tribal community of the rock that looks like a baby elephant at the foot of the waterfall. 

Although the Hathni Mata Waterfall is popular with young people and local communities,  its location and the hustle and bustle of the season make it one of the many pristine gems of Jambughoda and one of the must-see places on a trip to Vadodara. The path leading to this point is good but very narrow. On weekends this place gets very crowded. This is a remote place, so you must bring food and water.

The cave, which houses a temple with a rock in the shape of a seated baby elephant, is definitely worth a visit. The locals derive the name Hathni Mata from a rock just below the waterfall that looks like a baby elephant. The main temple is at the foot of the waterfall. Food is provided by the villagers. During monsoons, many people visit this temple and waterfall. It is a good place to have a little picnic. This place is packed on the weekends and weekends of the monsoon season. Hathni Mata Waterfall can only be considered a picnic spot for groups, not a tourist spot. Children and others enjoy a bath with their friends in the middle of nature.
