 History :

          Shri Hanuman Mandir, Sarangpur is a Hindu temple  in 
Sarangpur, Gujarat and is located under the Vadtal Gadi of  Swaminarayan 
Sampraday. It is the only temple in Swaminarayan that does not have  
Murtis of  Swaminarayan or Krishna as the main deity. of worship. It is 
dedicated to Hanuman in the form of Kastbhanjan. 
 
 This temple is one of the highlights of Swaminarayan Sampraday. The 
Hanuman idol  was installed by Sadguru Gopalan and Swami. According to 
author Raymond Williams, it is reported that when Sadguru Gopalanand 
Swami installed the idol of Hanuman, he touched it with a stick and made 
the idossl come to life and move.

This Hanumanji Temple is considered to be the holiest and most sacred. It 
is one of the most prominent  in the Swaminarayan 
 
 Sampraday. The Hanuman image  was installed by Sadguru Gopalanand 
Swami in Ashwini vadi pancham savant 1905 (according to the Hindu 

calendar). The image of this temple is said to be so powerful that a mere 
glimpse of people afflicted by evil spirits expels the evil spirits from the 
afflicted people. Sarangpur can be easily reached by bus or car as it is only 
82 km from Bhavnagar.Sometimes there can be  long waiting times at the 
temple gate, especially on Saturdays. The temple is really big and 
spacious and the statue of Lord Hanuman is really impressive. Be sure to 
get the holy water from the well. You can pay 
 
 your donations against a receipt. You will also receive a plastic bag of 
prasad in the shape of sukhdis, a Gujarati sweet.The temple has recently 
been renovated. Food is  served free of charge to all visitors in the  dining 
room of Temple

       This dining hall is operated by the Temple Trust, as is the 
Swaminarayana Temple which is located in the same complex. daily lunch. 
On Saturdays, that number will be at least double that.Hanuman Chalisa 
booklets are available in all shapes and sizes at very low prices. There is a 
dharmshala  near the temple gate  where  people can spend the night if 
they wish. Temple hours are 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 
9:00 p.m. daily. Buses are available from all major cities in Gujarat.
