Sabri Dham
On the Ahwa-Navapura road, Shabari Dham is approximately 30 kilometers from Ahwa and 70 kilometers from Saputara in the small Gujarati village of Subir. During the search for Ma Devi Sita, it is believed that Lord Shree Ram met Ma Shabari at this location. Shabari was a great devotee of Lord Shree Ram. On the advice of her spiritual guru, she waited for Shree Ram for a long time at her Guru's Ashram.
For Shree Rama, Ma Shabari had collected Ber wild fruits to find the best; Before offering them to the Lord with great devotion, she would check them by biting them. Fruit was accepted by Lord Shree Ram with love, and the Lord was pleased with her innocent devotion. Here, the three stones on which Lord Shree Ram, Laxman, and Shabri sat are worshiped. Pampa Sarovar is approximately 10 kilometers away from Shabari Dham, the location of the story of Lord Shree Ram Bathing.
This spot is encircled by thick woodland and furthermore known as Dand Karanya where Ruler Shree Slam, Mama Devi Sita and Laxman were passed during their 14 years of vanvas - exile. When Lord Shree Ram was looking for Ma Devi Sita, he learned important information from Ma Shabari.
The Shabari Dham is a large structure dedicated to Shabari Mata. Because it is on a high plateau, surrounded by mountains, a forest, and the holy Pampa Sarovar, and because it is well maintained, it has become a popular picnic spot. At Shabari Dham, there are also services like lodging and food.
